Custom Machined Pins and 3D-Printed Bracket for Gym Equipment

Our team machined custom pins and designed a convenient storage solution, ensuring the gym could maximize the utility of its machines and keep everything organized.
Project Overview:
The gym needed a way to increase the weight capacity of their equipment, and standard parts were not sufficient for their requirements. Our team at Larne Engineering took on the challenge and completed the following tasks:
Machining Custom Pins: We machined two custom mild steel pins designed to fit perfectly into the gym’s weightlifting machines. These pins were engineered to allow the machines to hold double the weight capacity, significantly increasing their functionality for heavier lifting routines.
3D-Printed Wall-Mounted Bracket: To ensure the new pins didn’t get misplaced or roll around when not in use, we designed and 3D-printed a custom wall-mounted bracket. This bracket allows the gym staff to store the pins securely and keep them easily accessible.
After the Modifications:
The new custom pins have successfully enhanced the gym’s weightlifting equipment, providing their members with a higher load capacity during workouts. The 3D-printed bracket has ensured the pins remain organized and easy to locate, adding both practicality and convenience to the gym’s setup.
