Custom Trailer Modifications for a Roof Box and Enhanced Stability
At Larne Engineering, we specialize in custom stainless steel fabrications. Recently, we had the opportunity to work on a customer's trailer, tailoring it to meet specific functional and aesthetic requirements.
Project Overview:
The customer brought in their trailer, aiming to maximize its utility by installing a roof box and improving its overall stability when not connected to the van. Our team at Larne Engineering completed the following modifications:
Stainless Steel Roof Rack: We custom-built a durable and corrosion-resistant stainless steel roof rack. This rack was designed to securely mount the customer's roof box, ensuring safe transportation of additional cargo without compromising the trailer’s structural integrity.
Custom Rear Bumper: As part of the project, we fabricated and installed a bespoke rear bumper, which we then finished with a sleek black paint for a professional look. This bumper not only enhances the trailer’s appearance but also provides extra protection during travel.
Stabilizers for Improved Functionality: To make sure the trailer remains stable when disconnected from the towing van, we installed sturdy stabilizers at the rear. This ensures that the trailer can stand securely, even when not in use, making it easier to load or unload cargo.
Before and After:
The transformation is clearly seen in the images below. Initially, the trailer was functional but lacked the custom features required to meet the customer’s needs. After our modifications, the trailer is now a more versatile, practical, and professional setup.
Larne Engineering is proud to deliver customized engineering solutions, ensuring our clients get the most out of their equipment.
